We are experts in the conversion of diesel engines to operate on plant oils or other renewable fuels and offer several options to access our technology. These include supplying our equipment either under an energy services contract or direct sale. We also convert or modify customers existing equipment if required.
For customers purchasing a compete CHP system for installation within their building project we offer a tailored support package. This can include servicing the engine and claiming Renewables Obligation Certificates if required. We can also source suitable fuels for customers.
For certain customers this outright purchase option can be financed with an interest free loan from the Carbon Trust.
As an alternative, we offer an Energy Services contract; an agreement whereby Cantium finances and operates the CHP plant, selling the energy produced to the customer. This removes the risk of operation for the customer and fixes the cost of the renewable energy produced by the CHP plant for an agreed period.
Some customers may already have a back-up generator installed in their premises. If this generator is under-used it may be possible to convert it for more regular operation using biofuels and to retro-fit heat recovery equipment to create a CHP plant. |
