The full terms and conditions for our Energy Contract (where we supply the CHP and sell the energy to the customer) are available on request but a few of the more important are as follows:
- Cantium will purchase, install and operate the biofuel CHP plant at our cost, including all maintenance and fuels
- The Customer will agree a contract to take the energy produced by the CHP plant
- The minimum contract term is 5 years
- The price of electricity and heat supplied can be fixed for a period of between12 and 24 months and thereafter will change in line with a suitable index of energy prices published by DECC
- The heat and power delivered to the Customer will be metered, using Ofgem approved equipment, and charges made monthly in arrears
- Cantium will retain the value of any ROCs or other incentive payments available
- The Customer will have the full benefit derived from any reduction in ‘carbon footprint’ or any decrease in emissions compared to fossil energy heating systems or grid electricity
Obviously if the customer is purchasing the CHP plant outright the terms are simpler:
- 30% of the cost at the time of order
- 60% on delivery of the plant to site and the remainder on successful completion of the commissioning process
- Charges for a full service maintenance contract can be fixed or based on a percentage of the energy savings made over fossil alternatives
